EARLY BIRDS ENJOY SPEEDY SERVERS AND NO QUEUES

Written by Oro TIPC
Cagayan de Oro encourages business owners to register their businesses or renew their business permits within the first two (2) weeks of the registration period to take advantage of a permits-within-minutes guarantee.

The average waiting time for on-site registrants at City Hall within the first two (2) weeks is 15-20 minutes due to low online and foot traffic, which historically balloons and finally explodes towards the end of the registration period.

The city’s fully streamlined and automated electronic Business One Stop Shop (eBOSS) with end-to-end online business registration and permit renewal is recognized and commended by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) as one of only 16 in the country and the only one in Mindanao.

This, along with the option of registering on-site at City Hall, provides businesses with a variety of options to register or renew their business permits.

However, the sheer number of this city’s close to 30,000 registered businesses can and does congest servers and spawn long queues, especially as the registration period ends, late fines loom, and business operators swarm to beat the dreaded deadline.

In business registration or permit renewal, the proverbial early bird still gets the worm.
