Cagayan de Oro’s City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD) is experienced in disaster and emergency response, annually recognized in the regional Gawad Kalasag awards conferred by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).

Its Oro Rescue 911, has been consistently cited for quick emergency response.
