The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Strengthening Urban Resilience for Growth with Equity (SURGE) Project is helping its local partners implement important interventions that accelerate economic recovery amid the continuing pandemic. Under the USAID-SURGE Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative (WGDP), the SURGE Project together with its Local Government partners are providing technical assistance for business support to women entrepreneurs and other MSMEs to strengthen business resiliency and adaptability to the rapidly growing digital economy.

 

The SURGE Project together with City Government of Cagayan de OroGeneral Santos CityTagbilaran City and Globe myBusiness, cordially invite you to an on-line forum in celebration of the International Women’s Day entitled “Pinaypreneurs Rise to the Digital Challenge” which will be held on March 12, 2021 from 2:30 pm- 4:00pm.  This forum will bring together women helping women succeed in business.

The city government of Cagayan de Oro with support from USAID/SURGE-WGDP will conduct a Mentoring Session on Business Response & Recovery Planning for MSMEs impacted by the Pandemic. Preparation of Employee Retention Plan shall also be included for loan applicants to government financial institutions that require this for additional loan proceeds.

The session includes a simplified firm-level BRR action planning that can be tailor-fit to your business with examples that mirror your experience. Ideas to recover are also integrated in the form of tips that can make your journey to bounce forward doable.

The mentoring session which starts for a small group, can be extended to one-on-one later to help you really come up with your written recovery plan.
