Tagum City, August 27, 2025 — The 34th Mindanao Business Conference (MINBIZCON) opened today in Tagum City, bringing together business leaders, chambers, and development partners, including attaches from foreign consulates to discuss the region’s economic direction.
Hosted by the Tagum City Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the conference kicked off with a full day of activities, from partner spotlights to workshops and plenary sessions.
The Cagayan de Oro Trade and Investment Promotions Center (Oro-TIPC) and the Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry are attending as active partners, engaging in sessions that strengthen collaboration across chambers, explore global opportunities, and highlight pathways for MSME growth and innovation.
Day 1 featured the Chamber Development Workshop and plenary discussions on the evolving role of local chambers, and the importance of market linkages and creating enabling environments for micro, small, and medium enterprises.
As part of the Partner Spotlight, the City Government of Cagayan de Oro presented the city's advantages and introduced the recorded message of City Mayor Rolando A. Uy who underscored the city’s role as Northern Mindanao’s commercial and logistics hub and extended a warm invitation to MINBIZCON 2026.
“Our joint attendance here is both a learning experience and a campaign for collaboration,” Oro Chamber President Engr. Antonio Brito shared. “We look forward to building on what we gain in Tagum and ensuring an equally successful MINBIZCON when Cagayan de Oro hosts the conference in 2026.”n
