CBRE Eyes Cagayan de Oro as Prime Investment Hub in PH

July 15-16, 2025 – Cagayan de Oro City. Global real estate leader CBRE Group, Inc. shone the spotlight to Cagayan de Oro during a two-day visit that explored the city’s growing potential as a hub for BPO, real estate, and infrastructure development.

The visit kicked off with a courtesy call to City Mayor Rolando A. Uy, with City Administrator Roy Hilario P. Raagas welcoming the CBRE team on his behalf, reaffirming the city’s commitment to inclusive growth and a business-friendly environment.

On the second day, CBRE hosted the CDO Conference 2025 at Limketkai Luxe Hotel, bringing together key representatives from the City Government, business chambers, property developers, BPO companies, and the Philippine Board of Investments, with the assistance of the Cagayan de Oro - Trade and Investment Promotions Center (Oro-TIPC).

CBRE Country Head Jie Espinosa led the presentation of the Halftime 2025 Market Monitor, sharing real estate insights on office supply and vacancy, rental trends, and opportunities in logistics, retail, and capital markets.

Participants engaged in a roundtable discussion focusing on ease of doing business, incentives for BPO and office locators, infrastructure and PPP projects in the pipeline, talent availability and workforce readiness, and upcoming office and mixed-use developments in the city.

To wrap up the engagement, Oro-TIPC facilitated site visits, enabling CBRE to inspect office facilities and real estate projects, as well as interact onsite with property developers, supporting their advisory work for clients looking to expand beyond Metro Manila.

This engagement affirms growing interest in Cagayan de Oro as a resilient, connected, and competitive location for global business expansion, driven by its infrastructure, talent pool, strong public-private collaboration, and proactive local leadership.n
