The SAULOG Art Exhibition was formally opened yesterday, February 19, as part of the National Arts Month celebration at the City Museum and Heritage Studies Center in this city.

The art exhibit showcases the works of the late local artist from Cagayan de Oro, Pennesencio "Nonoy" Estarte, in remembrance and recognition of his lasting legacy.

During the occasion, Estarte's nieces and nephews received a Plaque of Appreciation from the city government, signed by Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy, along with a resolution passed by the 20th City Council.

City Administrator Atty. Roy Hilario Raagas, representing Mayor Klarex Uy, expressed profound gratitude for Estarte's significant contributions to preserving Kagay-anon culture.

The SAULOG Art Exhibit is supported by the city of Cagayan de Oro, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Kagay-an Misamis (KaMi) Creative Council, with strong backing from local artists and the academe.

According to John W. Asuncion, the overseer of the City Museum and Heritage Studies Center, the art exhibit will be open until April 30 of this year.
